At my job the occasional beer at lunch (or whenever) is not frowned up. But does it make a worker more productive?
Internet nerds like myself will be well aware of the Ballmer Peak, as made famous by the webcomic xkcd. IF you’re not aware, the Ballmer Peak theory stipulates that a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) between 0.129% and 0.138% gives someone superhuman programming ability. While I never drink that much at the office I do enjoy the occasional beer and feel like it helps me focus a bit more.
So is that feeling of focus legitimate? Or all in my mind? Let’s consult the chart!
